Summary

The overarching objective of this research project is to develop an integrated strategy to facilitate accelerated wheat breeding. This will be achieved by accelerating vernalization and plant growth in conjunction with accelerated high-throughput genotyping and the selection of resistant or tolerant plants against relevant pathogens (Fusarium, Septoria tritici and Puccinia striiformis). Finally, at the end of the project, the data obtained will be modelled and transferred to real field conditions. The project is divided into four work packages, each of which addresses one of the aforementioned milestones.
